My baby girl is ONE! I honestly can't believe it! There were so many days when Brinn was a newborn and we were deep in the trenches of infant reflux, that I thought this milestone first birthday would never arrive. But here we are! And I am happy to say that Brinn has victory over the reflux and is a perfect little picture of health. We are so blessed, and God is so good and so faithful!
Brinn is very happy majority of the time. She has 4 teeth. Her hair is growing like a weed! She isn't walking yet, but soooo close {she takes 3-5 steps and then falls down}. She still takes two naps a day, and this stay at home mama is so grateful! In many ways she is already so much like Dane. She loves her big brother and wants to play with everything that he likes, and it really just annoys him. Believe it or not, she likes to wrestle with Dane and instigates the wrestling match half the time. She is ticklish and enjoys being chased. She likes to eat basically everything at this point and I'm hoping Dane's picky eating doesn't rub off on her! Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse are at the top of her favorites list. Our baby girl is a joy and a delight and we can not imagine life without her.
I scheduled a Cake Smash session with Tara Swain of Tara Swain Photography to document this milestone birthday. The pictures turned out so great, as always! You can find out more about Tara Swain Photography by clicking here.
Below are just a few pictures from our session. These pictures were taken on her actual birthday, February 23rd.
She was ALL smiles and happiness UNTIL...we made her touch the cake. Haha.
Since having my children, I've discovered I really enjoy planning themed parties. Below are a few pictures from Brinn's 1st Birthday Party. It was simple, sweet, and girly. We had such a good time celebrating our little hunny turning one. I will post pictures of Dane's previous parties later in a separate post.
As you can see, I'm enjoying being a girl mom just as much as I enjoy being a boy mom. I can't get enough of the glitter, gold, pink, frilly ruffles, and bows! I look forward to watching her grow and seeing what all Brinn's 2nd year will hold.
